(“K92”), the operator of the Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province, is proud to announce the renewal and expansion of its official sponsorship of the Papua New Guinea Hunters Rugby Football Club (“PNG Hunters”), the nation’s premier rugby league team competing in the Queensland Rugby League’s Hostplus Cup.
Building on the successful partnership launched in 2024, the new two-year Gold Partnership agreement will run from November 1, 2025, to October 31, 2027. The agreement deepens K92’s commitment to the Hunters, reinforcing shared goals of promoting athletic excellence, supporting local communities, and strengthening national pride.
Under the renewed partnership, K92’s logo will continue to feature on the back of PNG Hunters’ playing shorts and will expand to include the back of training tees and singlets. K92 will also benefit from prominent stadium signage, media and digital platform placement, and enhanced community engagement opportunities, including access to Hunters players for outreach and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
