The SP PNG Hunters are pleased to announce a significant schedule change for our upcoming home games. To better accommodate fans and align with strategic broadcast opportunities, the Hunters will be shifting several Saturday matches to Sundays.
The revised schedule is as follows:
Round 18: PNG Hunters vs Central Capras – now on Sunday, 14th July
Round 21: PNG Hunters vs Tweed Seagulls – now on Sunday, 11th August
Round 22: PNG Hunters vs Brisbane Tigers – now on Sunday, 18th August
*Round 23: PNG Hunters vs Western Clydesdales – now on Sunday, 25th August
This decision reflects our ongoing commitment to enhancing the fan experience and ensuring the widest possible audience can enjoy the games. The move to Sundays aims to make it easier for families and supporters to attend and engage with the team, and also aligns with our broadcast partners’ schedules to provide better coverage.
“We understand that weekends are a special time for families and communities to come together. By moving our matches to Sundays, we hope to make it more convenient for our supporters to join us and cheer on the Hunters,” said Scott Barker, the CEO of SP PNG Hunters. “We appreciate the support and understanding of our fans and look forward to seeing everyone at the games.”
Tickets purchased for the original Saturday dates will remain valid for the rescheduled Sunday matches. Fans who have any questions or require further assistance can contact the SP PNG Hunters’ media@pnghunters.com.
